POTTER MINE PROPERTY DEEP DRILL PROGRAM

Matheson Area - East of Timmins Ontario, Canada

Date: October 22, 1997

Millstream’s Base Metals Division recent review of the previous operations’ bottom 1,100 ft. mine level geology and assay maps has revealed a very significant ore zone intersection that further confirms the decision to push the deep drilling program.

E.I. Bettiol, P. Eng. & geologist P. Brown using the past recorded assay results of areas on the bottom level have calculated an ore zone averaging 2.26% Cu, 7.22% Zn, over a 340 ft. strike length and 15.5 ft. average true width. This zone is open to depth and was previously mined above the 1,100 ft. level. At current copper and zinc prices, without consideration of the silver/gold contents, this represents a gross in-situ value in excess of $177 per ton. Further exploration and confirmation of values are required before a mineable reserve can be established.

With the ore zone open to depth, the above calculations give credence to the previous suggestions of a lengthening, widening and grade improvement of the sulphides with depth, which the deep drill program is targeted to test.

Due to electronic constraints, the longitudinal cross section showing the previously mined workings cannot accompany this press release. A map which portrays the ore zone described above and indicating deep drilling pierce points can be requested by calling the Investor Relations Department.
