Millstream Mines Ltd. Is pleased to report on the exploration work previously announced January 9, 1998 on the Airport Property, located in Falconbridge Township, Sudbury Mining Division, Northern Ontario, Canada. Please also refer to the News Release of October 31, 1997.
A total of 78.0 Km of linecutting to establish a ground control grid has been completed on the initial 46 claims. The entire grid was surveyed with magnetics and a Horizontal Loop Electromagnetics (HLEM). An Induced Polarization (I.R.) survey was carried out over selected portions of the grid.
The Magnetometer/HLEM surveys outlined several linear highs and picked up numerous conductors. Five (5) selected conductors are recommended for follow-up work since there is a favourable criteria relating to proximity to known occurrences, magnetic association and trend that suggest a possible mineral source.
The Induced Polarization (I.P.) survey produced 16.4 line km of data successfully mapping a number of anomalous zones, some of which are quite strong and situated at relatively shallow depth. The conclusion and recommendation of Millstream’s consulting Geophysicist, Gerard Lambert, P. Eng. are:
"There is an excellent chance that these I.P. anomalies originate from anomalous concentrates of Metallic Sulphide Materials (Py, Po, Cpy, etc.) in the bedrock and therefore the strongest ones certainly merit to be tested with diamond drill holes"
Following the results of the I.P. survey, Millstream increased its land holdings in the area by adding 29 claims on the east side, all abutting the present property, and is currently sourcing flow-through funding to continue the exploration and drilling program recommended.
The principle objective of Millstream Mines Ltd. is to enhance and develop mineral properties to production potential. Millstream holds mineral claims or interests directly or through wholly owned subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, USA and Canada.
