MILLSTREAM’S GOLD BEARING RESIDUAL & ALLUVIAL PLACER,

CALIFORNIA, USA.

Millstream Mines Ltd. wishes to announce agreements of a 50/50 participation have been executed regarding the gold bearing residual and alluvial placer claims (16 placer 160 acre claims for a total 2,560 acres) in the southern part of the State of California, U.S.A.. The beneficial owner of the claims (collectively referred to as the “Atolia Property”) is Richard Hewlett of Ridgecrest, CA.. Millstream, shortly, will complete the review of the reported property resource calculations and metallurgical results on as much as 10,000 processed tons.

The Atolia Property is located in the prolific Mining District of Randsburg, and accessible by highway #395 approximately 26 miles south of Ridgecrest, and 70 miles due east of Bakersfield. The property is just off the El Paso Mountains found at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and at the north western fringe of the Mojave Desert.

Mr. Richard Hewlett has held the Atolia Property claims since 1981. He is a graduate from Iowa State University with a BSc. in Chemical Engineering, a M.Sc in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona; and has course work and a dissertation completed for a D.Sc. in Mining Engineering and a Ph D. in Geological Engineering while on the teaching faculty of the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Arizona on a Doctoral Fellowship by the U.S. Bureau of Mines. From 1960 to 1970 he published 25 technical papers on the computing of ore reserves and the solving of mining problems by applying numerous sophisticated computer programs and methods. He has consulted on ore reserve computations for most of the major mining companies of the world. From 1970 to 1980 he was actively involved in heap leaching of precious and base metals, both as an operator and consultant in the States of Nevada and Colorado. From 1980 to 1996, he acquired extensive residual placer and hardrock precious metal properties, completing exploration, development, and pilot-scale metallurgical testing of the numerous/various deposits. He carried out hydrometallurgical research to develop a "non-toxic" process for leaching ores/concentrates to replace cyanide in the recovery of precious metals and other economic elements. In 1996, he was granted a United States Patent for his "non-toxic" environmental friendly process. From 1996 to present, besides consulting on large open-pit and underground sulphide gold mines in Europe, he continuing with the evaluation of his own properties and advancing his proprietary solvent and process.

Some reported important features of the Atolia Property are:

1.       Extensive sampling has been conducted since 1982. Sampling has been carried out by hand/surface, front-end loader, bull-dozer trenches, backhoe and hydraulic excavator pits;

2.       Production scale bulk testing using local mills;

3.       Economic metals/minerals are gold, silver, the platinum group, tungsten;

4.       Ample amounts of proven subsurface water (existing wells pump 500gpm) with the rights held by Hewlett;

5.       The placer ores are amenable to gravity concentration using concentration technology developed by Byran Knelson.

Both Millstream (PR Feb. 7, 2000) and Hewlett Mineral Management separately devoted extensive amount of time and expenditures over the past years developing, designing and refining their individual processes and solvents to extract metals from mineral bearing materials. The presidents of the parties have known each other for approximately 40 years from the time of their attendance at the Colorado School of Mines. The complementary value of the parties working in synergetic applications of their proprietary processes is a progressive step towards better metal recovery and environmental responsibility.

Millstream further wishes to announce and remind the interested public of its web site location, WWW.MILLSTREAMMINES.COM.

The principle objective of Millstream Mines Ltd. is to enhance and develop known mineral properties to production potential.
