METALS RECOVERY PROGRAM
POTTER MINE TAILINGS PILOT TEST
Date:Apr. 3, 2001

Millstream Mines Ltd. is very pleased to announce the progress of its Pilot Test Program to exploit the innovative proprietary Electro- Chemical Quik Leach and Membrane technologies for recovery of metals contained in its Potter Mine tailings. The Potter Mine property is located in Munro township, Matheson area, northeast Ontario, Canada.

Construction is completed on the selected tailings site with injector piping, recovery wells, leachate circulating systems and processing facilities in place. Preliminary system test results are encouraging with samples being sent for assay to Swastika Laboratory. The draft of the final report with conclusions is anticipated to be received before the end of May, 2001.

The Pilot Test Program is utilizing the proprietary systems of Electro-Chemistry manipulation combined with Membrane Technology. The Electro-Chemical Quik Leach (patent pending) enhances leaching rates of sulphide materials and the Membrane Technology concentrates the selected metal ions for recovery (P.R. Feb. 07, 2000 & June 22, 2000).

Positive results from the Pilot Test Program will present Millstream the opportunity to process its tailings' insitu contained metals (copper, Zinc, cobalt, magnesium) having an aggregate gross value at $112,000,000 per previous calculations (P.R. June 22, 2000), plus an environmental gain in stabilizing the tailings.

During the past 4 years Millstream has diamond drilled and cored 39 holes (56,401 ft.) confirming the downward extension of the previously mined massive sulphide ore zones to a vertical depth below surface of 3,100 ft. (P.R. Aug. 18, 1999), being 2000 ft. deeper than the past lowest working level of the mine.

Based upon positive results from the Pilot Test Program, Ernest Harrison, president of Millstream states "in addition to processing of the tailings a review of the drill cores will be undertaken in the areas of the Hanging Wall and Foot Wall of the drilled massive sulphide zones for magnesium, cobalt and low grade copper and zinc. A revised ore zone confirmation could very quickly increase the ore zone size by four or five times. The two walls of the ore zones previously developed and mined (to the vertical depth of 1100 ft.) would be quickly accessible through the existing mine shaft and established working levels. These potentially merging events could greatly advance Millstream towards achieving sustained production at the Potter Mine site and other favourable sites in the future".
